So, I haven’t posted in a while – been a little busy. School has started back for me and boy is that gonna keep me busy! Liz is now 16 weeks (will be 17 Wednesday) and we have started working on getting the baby’s room ready. Right now there isn’t a whole lot in it of course, because, well – we still do not know what we are having so we haven’t bought a whole lot of stuff. We have decided on what the baby’s room will be though – and we are going with our original thoughts/ideas of Classic Pooh. As you can see from the picture, we already have lots of Pooh “stuff”. We also attempted to start our registry the other day at Babies”R”Us but it doesn’t appear that it saved all of our stuff – but that’s okay really – we’ll get to go back after we find out what we are having and do it all over again. We don’t find out for two weeks though!
We have decided on a couple of things – one of the biggest is the stroller, actually I guess I should say travel system. It is the Chicco Cortina Travel System Stroller. It definitely doesn’t come cheap, but after a lot of research, testing, – okay playing – with them in the store we found out we liked this one the best. The car seat clicks in the stroller the easiest, it comes out the easiest, the seat has adjustable heights (as I’m sure many do, but it was easier to adjust than most!). Also, one major thing that stood out for us was most travel systems needed extra straps or things to keep the car seat secured and from flipping up. This one did not – Now I’ve never had to worry with this, but I’m thinking just one click of the car seat into the stroller is a lot better than worrying with extra steps, especially once there is actually a baby in it! That’s really about all we’ve decided on though! I guess a theme for the baby’s room and a travel system are big items though!
